Loading up my Kindle

It's that time of the year again. We're off to Teneriffe on Friday for our summer vacation. That's two weeks of beach and sun, and two weeks of dedicated reading. Yummy!

So I'm loading up my kindle...

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Sweet as Sin by Inez Kelley
Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien
Intertwined by Gena Showalter
Dead Iron: The Age of Steam by Devon Monk
Sex, Murder and a Double Latte by Kyra Davis
Boomerang Bride by Fiona Lowe

That should get me through the first week :)

This is the first holiday where everyone in the family has a kindle. My kids read almost as much as I do, so now I'm off to have some fun with all the extra packing space in our suitcases

  1. The idea of loading up a kindle is very appealing. I prefer 'real' books but they take up so much room. If I got a Kindle I could keep my collection of books and wouldn't need to get rid of any to make room for new ones -- all the new one would be stored on the Kindle. I think I'll put one at the top of my Christmas list. Are they very heavy to carry around?

  2. Janet, the new kindles are lighter than a book. My main reasons for initially getting a kindle was space and instant gratification, I love seeing a book I want and being able to read it two minutes later :)

  3. Hi Claire,
I have joined Rachel Harrie's writing campaign, and am just dropping in to say 'hi'. I look forward to getting to know you better!

  4. I hope you enjoy your holiday. A Discovery of Witches has been recommended to me a few times, but I've yet to get around to reading it. I hope you enjoy it! :)
